How apt. I went to see 7 Welcome to London on a day trip to...errr...London.
In my case it should have been 6 Welcome to London because that is how many movies I ended up watching on my day off.
Anyway, Cineworld Wood Green, which I have visited a fair bit lately, was the venue for Asad Shan's movie.
Shan is writer, director and star of this Bollywood crossover movie (the third time in a month I have seen an Indian movie filmed in London).
He is indeed a man of many talents. He was a former Mr Asia UK, went from being a model to a DJ on television (he introduced the Bollywood Brits) and now he has his very own film at the multiplexes.
Models, of course, tend to do rather well in Asian cinema. And while Shan provides the eye candy for the laydeez, the chaps can feast their eyes on 2011's Asian Model Of The Year Sabeeka Imam.
Unsurprisingly these two pretty people fall in love at first sight in 7 Welcome To London and their match-up is one of the vital threads.
The plotline starts with Shan's character, Jai, arriving in the UK in search of work and money after leaving Delhi.
In the blink of an eye he teams up with an affable chap called Goldie (it's the colour of his hair), played by Aliakbar Campwala.
The first half of the movie is very much a case of Jai getting to know London and falling in love. In short it is pretty dull and led me to wonder where all the action sequences in the trailers were.
And then comes the meat. Jai is in need of quick cash and is put in touch with a man who may resolve all his problems.
Suffice he goes on to wish he had never met him.
Meanwhile, the audience is mighty glad he did because 7 Welcome To London goes from being a rather tepid love story to a hard-as-nails gangster flick.
And I can't say anything more than when the hard men took over I felt myself going from virtual slumber to hanging on to the edge of my seat.
It is then that Shan's direction really comes into its own, helped by some rugged, if rather cliched, London villains.
So, it was a game of two halves and I reckon it comes from a couple down to win 3-2 by the end.
Laughs: a couple of chortles.
