As promised, here's another of the movies from the Japan Foundation's touring film programme, entitled Whose Film Is It Anyway?.
But, despite my love for movies from the land of the rising sun, I'm afraid I couldn't get on with this one (which  was originally released in 2005).
Basically, it is part remake of a controversial 1983 Super 8 film but, bizarrely it contains flashback to that film.
Actually, that would be just about watchable but even odder concepts are layered on top.
These include arguments between one of the original actors and the producers about him getting a role in the new movie.
This then results in yet another stream added to the film in which the characters have got older and meet up again.
Confused? Yes, so was I. In fact, I couldn't work out what the hell was happening until halfway through the movie.
Its key ingredient is the plight of a young couple on the run after first neglecting and then killing their young child.
It is clear to see that they are both psychotic and possibly schizophrenic, one minute hating each other to the point of trying to kill each other, the next making passionate or even aggressive love.
I reckon the only possibility of really enjoying this would be to have had a knowledge of the original film. Without it, I was just bamboozled.
Laughs: none
Jumps: none
Vomit: one scene
Nudity: lots...including a couple of sex scenes which were stomach-churning because they bordered on rape.
