I have been careful not to repeat my mistakes when it comes to my blog.
A month or so back, I was criticised for including my feelings about the death of a close friend's mother in a review.
The commenter was absolutely right. Thus, I wrote a new review.
This week, therefore, I have kept family feelings away from the reviews but this has not been easy.
On Thursday, I was on my way to see Outside The Law when my wife called to say her mother was critically ill in hospital with pneumonia. It was thought to be touch and go.
Needless to say, I did not see the movie and will have to catch up on it when it comes out on DVD.
In the meantime her sister, who has terminal cancer, has taken a turn for the worse. She is very poorly in a different hospital to her mum's.
My wife is one of the calmest women anyone could meet but her stress is unbearable to watch.
Oh, I forgot that this comes a week before our daughter takes her A levels. She has been brilliant but the situation is very difficult.
This week, therefore I have spent much of the blog catching up with DVDs (Saturday is the only day I've been to the cinema in the best part of a week). I just fear going to the cinema and being away from Mrs W at a moment of distress.
I am meant to watch Apocalypse Now (somehow apt) tonight but I just don't know if I dare spend nearly three hours in the cinema.
Frankly, who cares? This is just a load of waffle.
But it is my blog and the recording of my feelings is what it should be all about.
